Have you ever, at some point in your life taken up an IQ test? How did you score in it? Was the score 100 or 150 or beyond that?? If yes, then you certainly hold a high Score compared to the average human intelligence level. But how do you decide these numbers and what is the exact slot to discover your peculiarity?
Well, the man who began the IQ testing was a French psychologist named Alfred Binet. It stands for Intelligence Quotient and refers to the act of measuring the intelligence of a person and learning his/her ability.
The IQ level of a person with normal intelligence is defined in the range of 100 to 150, and usually a common man doesn't fall below the score of 50 or above 150. Here is the overview of IQ ranges of humans, with the highest IQ ever recorded.

But, besides the data of an average man, we all would want to know what is the highest rating of IQ ever recorded? Well, there are many people, but one of them is, William James Sidis, holding the world's highest score till date, with a figure of 250 above.
 He was the youngest person to enroll in the famous Harvard University, and in his mid-forties, he died of cerebral bleeding. One of the legendary figures was Albert Einstein, the philosopher, theoretical physicist and an author, with a score of 135.
Well, there are many legendary personalities following them. Take a look:
  • Christopher Hirata - This extraordinarily intelligent genius had already completed his college education at 12, in physics and mathematics. He has done his PhD from Princeton, and now teaches astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology. He has an amazing score of 225.
  • Kim Ung-yong - A score of 210, a known physicist and engineer, is a child prodigy and was invited by NASA at the age of 8.
  • James Wood - A score of 180, an actor by profession.
  • Philip Emeagwali - A score of 190, is an engineer and computer scientist/geologist and one of the winners of Gordon Bell Prize.
  • Terence Tao - This prodigy apparently has a score between 220 to 230. At the age of 16, he graduated from the Flinders University with both a Master's as well as a Bachelor's degree.
  • Marilyn Vos Savant - This brilliant lady has an intelligent quotient of 190. She is columnist, author, and playwright, and has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records.
  • Christopher Michael Langan - A score of 195, an American autodidact and a bouncer by profession, is known as the smartest man in America.
  • Prime Minister of Israel-Benjamin Netanyahu - A score of 180.
  • Microsoft Founder Paul Allen - Founder of Microsoft, Paul Allen has an intelligent quotient of 160.
  • World Chess Champion - Garry Kasparov - A score of 190, he is also a writer, political activist, and a great player of all time.
  • Stephen W. Hawking - With a score of over 160 under 200, Stephen W. Hawking is a mathematician and physicist, and is known for his runaway bestseller A Brief History of Time.
  • Sharon Stone - She has a score of 154, Sharon Stone is an American actress by profession, former fashion model and a film producer and is listed in this chart.
  • Michael Kearney - A score of 200-325, is known to hold the highest record in as of today.
  • Johann Von Goethe - A score of 210, is a German polymath.
Basically, there are no specific techniques to measure the ability and intelligence of a human being. There are various cognitive aspects taken into consideration, like problem-solving, memory, understanding, reasoning, communication, and so on. From these views, we can mutually empathize with a person.
Believing merely on the results of such tests might sometimes put you off. Because every individual is different from the other, and there will always be someone different from you, someone better than you. All I am trying to say is, never judge a book by its cover.
